Life events are significant changes that affect a person's course of life.

  Greetings, my name is, Pastor David May. 

I am the founder of “The Dove Ministry” which was founded in December of 2023, I am divorced with 2 children and 3 Grandchildren. Amid the uncertainty, when we do not know which path to take; during the seasons of our life when the seas are stormy, and Jesus appears to be sleeping in the boat; in times of darkness, when grief has a stronghold on our heart, there can be the temptation to doubt God’s goodness and love. Suffering, it seems, has the power to draw people more fully to God or to make individuals question His very existence. When we find ourselves in these situations, to what do we turn? In my life, I have often turned to Scripture to be reminded of the truth. In particular, I have returned to the words found in the book of Jeremiah: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) While this verse has been popularized, it remains one of my favorites and anchors me whenever I begin to doubt God’s goodness or presence. Rarely do the plans we devise turn out exactly as we’d envisioned. Yet, here is God promising us that He holds the plans for our life. We no longer need to spend energy worrying about every moment of the future. These plans God has for our lives are meant to ensure we have a life full of prosperity and hope.

Does that mean that life will be easy?
That we will never face hardship or evil?
Or that in the face of suffering, God will immediately swoop in and rescue us? No. Unfortunately, because of original sin and the brokenness of humanity, pain, and evil will always be part of our story on earth. Jesus, Himself, warned us of this: “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world”(John 16:33)   But it does mean that God’s plan for our lives goes beyond the circumstances we find ourselves in because He has conquered sin and death. Though we might not see or comprehend how God will use our cross for good, we know we can trust Him because He is a loving Father who always keeps His promises. We can understand this truth more clearly when we look at the context surrounding Jeremiah 29:11. The Israelites had been taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon. Amid their hardship, they began listening to the voices of false prophets, who assured the Israelites they would have lives of prosperity and that their time in exile would not last long. Knowing the false prophets' voices were loud and persuasive, God encourages His people through Jeremiah to stay faithful to Him, for He has great plans for their lives. Still, He goes on to say that they must remain in this condition of exile for another seventy years, meaning that not every Israelite would live to see the fulfillment of God’s promises in their life on earth. Isn’t this relatable? Like the Israelites, we are sojourners journeying toward the promised land of the heavenly Jerusalem.

 How tempting it can be to listen to the world's false prophets. To listen to the voices that say if only we had _______, we would be happy. Or the voices that say to only focus on what makes you happy, to walk away from anything or anyone who doesn’t immediately gratify you. Yet, we know this is not the way of God. Of course, we hope to see the promises of God’s plan for us and our loved ones fulfilled in our time on earth. But even if we do not, we can rest in the hope of the resurrection and the truth that God always brings good out of evil and that He promises us a future of hope. ~SO~
My Mission is to be able to help others and others to overcome their life-controlling Issues, such as drug, alcohol, and pornography addiction, But Only Through the Loving Grace, and Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. It is by His word to be able to share God's love With them and others as well as to care for their needs and Spiritual growth. This will set a positive relationship with the community, displaying a change of character from what was, to what God can do today in the life of those that truly seek Him. This set Positive feedback and change of attitude and action on both sides.
As for myself an ex-con I know what the changing Power of the Lord Jesus, can do in my life, I am confident he will do the same for you.!  My Coming to Christ and Calling to Ministry: I have walked with God since my early youth. Since first courting in the early 70s, I discerned God calling Me to a ministry.  The Calling to This Soul Center Inspired by the victorious life of Jesus Christ, I minister to those I encounter as I walk the Journey along my path acan draw people more fully to God or s to meeting people along the way. I am grateful that the Christian Leaders Alliance has called and equipped me with the calling of my minister

Who I Serve:
In the community, as I walk on my Journey there is always an opportunity to meet people along the way. I allow the Holy Spirit to work through me. see: (James 4:7-10) “7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. 9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”  

 2 Timothy 2:3-19 

 As a good soldier of Christ Jesus, accept your share of the troubles we have. A soldier wants to please his commanding officer, so he does not spend any time on activities that are not a part of his duty. Athletes in a race must obey all the rules to win. The farmer who works hard deserves the first part of the harvest. Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand it all. Remember Jesus Christ. He is from the family of David. After Jesus died, he was raised from death. This is the Good News that I tell people. And because I tell that message, I am suffering. I am even bound with chains like someone who has really done wrong. But God’s message is not bound. So I patiently accept all these troubles. I do this to help the people God has chosen so that they can have the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. With this salvation comes glory that never ends. Here is a true statement: If we lived with him, we would also live with him. If we remain faithful even in suffering, we will also rule with him. If we refuse to say we know him, he will refuse to say he knows us. If we are not faithful, he will still be faithful, because he cannot be false to himself. Keep on telling everyone these truths. And warn them before God not to argue about words. Such arguments don’t help anyone, and they ruin those who listen to them. Do your best to be the kind of person God will accept, and give yourself to him. Be a worker who has no reason to be ashamed of his work, one who applies the true teaching in the right way. Stay away from people who talk about useless things that are not from God. That kind of talk will lead a person more and more against God. Their evil teaching will spread like a sickness inside the body. Hymenaeus and Philetus are men like that. They have left the true teaching. They say that the day when people will be raised from death has already come and gone. And they are destroying the faith of some people. But God’s strong foundation never moves, and these words are written on it: “The Lord knows those who belong to him.” Also, these words are written there: “Everyone who says they believe in the Lord must stop doing wrong.”

8 Things You Might Not Know about the Good Samaritan The Good Samaritan is an answer to a question.

1. First, we need to remember that Jesus told the parable of the good Samaritan in response to a lawyer asking the question, “Who is my neighbor?” This lawyer already knew he was supposed to love God and love his neighbor but felt the need to test Jesus and justify himself. This story is going to answer this lawyer’s question, but it will also reveal something about our hearts.  
2. We’re not the good Samaritan. The point of this story is not that we are the merciful ones doing good works. In reality, we are sick from sin and need healing from the Divine Physician. We are the men left beaten on the side of the road. We need someone to heal us from being left for dead. The good Samaritan shows us there is no way for us to recover on our own. We need Jesus to pick us up, pay our debt, and carry us home. 
3. Being good is never good enough. The Good Samaritan reminds us there is no sliding into the kingdom of heaven by being good enough. The point of this story is not that good people, priests, Levites, or Samaritans go to heaven. The point is that only Jesus was good enough to go to heaven. It is his mercy that we need. He is the only way to Salvation.
4.  The Good Samaritan shows us God’s righteous standard. We don’t teach this story to just make sure our kids are nice to their friends. The story of the good Samaritan is Jesus calling us to be neighbors to our enemies. This reminds us we are to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. This is what Jesus’s love is like. 
5. We are blessed to be a blessing to others. Not the other way around. We do not earn God’s blessing by being a blessing to others. When we extend mercy, it is only out of response to God’s mercy. Don’t make the mistake of acting like the good Samaritan in an attempt to earn God’s blessing. You already have it in Jesus. 
6. We are to be poor in spirit. True children of the kingdom are those who are poor in spirit and realize they do not and cannot meet the standard of the law. They cry for mercy and because they have received mercy, they are merciful to others. When we read The Good Samaritan, we should empathize with the man beaten and thrown to the side of the road. 
7. Do for one what you wish you could do for all. When you are looking to be a good neighbor, resist the urge to fight every single battle and instead fight the ones right around you. Just because you can’t do everything for everyone it doesn’t mean you can’t do anything for anyone. 
8. Start with what only you can do. This starts with confessing your sin and your need for a holy God. <or> **” Higher Power”. Once you are right,  then you can stop justifying yourself, and focus on helping others in need.
